From the vast plains of remote Tibet to the packed beaches on tropical Hainan island, from the tranquil karst landscape of Guilin to the formidable Forbidden City, China holds a pervasive allure.

China offers visitors an incredibly broad and varied experience. It ruled China until 1949 when the Communist regime took over.
